Valerie Jefferson Lee

s39046_lee-valerie-jefferson_9585rcssqaureValerie Jefferson Lee is a native of Norwalk, CT where she has always been heavily involved with the Youth and in the community. She currently resides with her husband and 4 kids in Bridgeport, CT, where she is beginning to throw herself more into this community as well.  Valerie holds a BS in Information Management & Technology from Syracuse University, a MS in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Management & Organizational Leadership.

Valerie has a passion and love for the youth, especially mentoring the young girls.  Her philanthropic resume will show that she spends her personal time, energy and resources coordinating events for the youth in the community like the annual Prom Dress Giveaway and supporting other community events like the College Boot Camp and annual Community Days.

Professionally Valerie has held various Customer Service, Logistics, Management and Executive level positions with several large consumer products, healthcare companies in Connecticut. She is currently employed by a large Aerospace Company that holds the #2 spot in the top 100 companies in Connecticut. Valerie’s current role along with her prior professional experience with customers, consumers, products, projects and services affords her the knowledge from the corporate world to share with the YLT members. In addition she has gained valuable techniques and experience in managing, coaching and mentoring teams and personnel to help her with working with the Youth in the community.

Personally Valerie enjoys; traveling, reading, home improvement projects and spending time with family.  She is the President of Maggannie Property Management LLC a family owned company that manages single and multi-family rental properties throughout Lower Fairfield County. Through this venture Valerie has built relationships with various contractors and laborers that she leverages for funding, mentoring and employment opportunities for the youth.

Valerie is excited to be the Stratford Site Program Director and to hold a position on the YLTrapped Board.  She admires what Julia Moore has done with the program and in the community and is looking forward doing even more together with Julia and the other board members.
