Mission Statement:

Y.L.T.R.A.P.P.E.D.’s mission is to develop young girls into empowered productive women in society by building strength, knowledge and self-confidence while forming a strong unity within the community, thriving towards success while imparting these attributes to future members.

Vision Statement:

Y.L.T.R.A.P.P.E.D.’s vision is to foster opportunities to outstanding young women in urban areas so that they can be extraordinary, independent, and have a sense of purpose, self-awareness and responsibility towards society.

Our Story

Meet the Team

Y.L.T.R.A.P.P.E.D. is a non-profit organization established in 2004 in Norwalk, Connecticut. Y.L.T.R.A.P.P.E.D. is run by the founder and CEO, Julia Moore and she also has a supporting staff that helps facilitate the program. The staff includes Helki Roundtree as Program Director for Norwalk, CT and Valerie Jefferson as Program Director for Stratford & Bridgeport, CT, Assistant Director of Fundraising Gwen Malcom. Director of Marketing Takeya Gardner, Director for Norwalk location Thomasina Mclendon, as well as board members who come and offer their time to help develop the young women.
